KDHE, FDA And CDC Warn Consumers Not To Use Diamond Shruumz Products
TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is warning Kansans not to consume Diamond Shruumz products. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced it is recalling Diamond Shruumz-brand products and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is investigating 58 reports of severe illness, including 30 hospitalizations and one potentially associated death, across multiple states from the Prophet Premium Blends, LLC of Santa Ana, CA facility. KDHE is investigating two possible cases associated with this outbreak.

No one is immune to migraine headaches, including children. According to the American Migraine Foundation, approximately 10 percent of children experience migraines. Children may be more likely to experience migraines if a parent or both parents get them. The AMF notes that children with one parent who suffers from migraines have a 50 percent chance of getting them as well, and that increases to 75 percent among children who have two parents that experience migraines. Children may even exhibit signs of migraines as early as infancy, as the AMF reports that colic in infants is a potential early indicator of migraines in youngsters.

At every turn, you will find young people tending animals, showing animals, competing for prizes, serving food and cleaning up. KDOT Announced Approved June Bids
Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects. The letting took place June 20, 2024, in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.

City Of Eureka Continues To Look Towards Road Improvements
On Monday, July 8, Eureka City Administrator Joel Laws advised members of the city council that Eureka was not one of the award recipients for funding through the KDOT Cost Share grant applied for. There were 71 applicants and 14 of those were funded. Other funding resources are being looked at to aid in extending budgeted dollars for street projects.
