Election Canvass Held Following Weekly Commission Meeting
Following the conclusion of regular meeting agenda items on Monday, Aug. 19, Greenwood County Commissioners adjourned to Election Canvass. Commissioners voted to accept the two Provisionals recommended for approval and rejected those recommended for rejection. Historical Society Featuring Display On Community Of Climax
Historical Society Featuring Display On Community Of Climax
The Greenwood County Historical Society has begun a new display series showcasing communities in Greenwood County beginning with the community of Climax. Items in the display include a letter jacket, a basketball uniform, photos and information about buildings in the town of Climax and a feature on the Order of Eastern Star and Bernadine Russell who served as Worthy Grand Matron for the State of Kansas in 1963. Formals that she and her daughter-in-law Hazel Russell, who served as a Page for the Grand Chapter meeting in Topeka, are included in the display. 08/20/2024 11:00 PM
