Importance of Maintaining Cattle Gut Health

No one likes an upset stomach, feeling gassy and bloated. It almost always is guaranteed to ruin your day or even bring you down for a whole week. Just as it can affect us, we need to be mindful of digestive upset in our cattle, what we are feeding them, and how that can be problematic to their overall health and performance. The cattle stomach is divided in to four compartments or chambers: the rumen, reticulum, omasum, and abomasum. The one we typically focus on in relation to gut health is the rumen.

Rockin’ Robin!

When it’s good, it’s good to even great; but, when it’s bad, it can be horrifying. Business ownership is similar to parenthood. You aren’t just worried about yourself; you’re now responsible for staff. With a small business, in a rural area, we face lots of hurdles. Many will be quick to complain, run your product through the mud, refuse to support you for something that happened even before your time at that location; however, we also have some great customers/clients that truly help keep our heads above water.
