What is happening in our country? It’s not new, but yet the domino pieces continue to fall. How do we stop it? It’s horrifying to read national news right now. We have lost respect for not just one another, but for ourselves. This past year has shown us that our leaders can’t work together. This is NOT one sided either. I have seen so much disrespect that it is heartbreaking. How and why are we here? When officials act like children, it makes me wonder if they are fit to represent our society. I will never forget watching Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, physically tearing the President’s address into pieces while being aired on national TV. I will not forget the childish actions of both current President Trump and President-elect Biden, and yes that later part still hurts to put into words... I’m scared of what will happen in the next four years, but I’m more terrified for our community. We have to learn how to work together again. Pointing fingers and focusing on tearing each other down isn’t working for anyone. How can we fix this? We are all entitled to our own opinions, but that doesn’t mean that all of our thoughts need to be shared. Please, think about your comments/actions before you share them. Far too many times, there is nothing positive coming from a negative outburst and a downward spiral follows. #ThinkFirst
