Three Severy Organizations/Entities Name Recipients Of ECCF Funds
During the 2024 Severy Labor Day parade, the Elk County Community Foundation (ECCF) presented checks to three Severy groups. The funds were raised during the 2024 ECCF match event, which ran from May 10 to June 10, and raised over $133,000 in funds. The Patterson Family Foundation provided an additional $70,000 in matching funds, leaving ECCF with over $200,000 to grant out to organizations in Elk County and Severy.

Fifth Monday Program At Museum
The Greenwood County Historical Society “Fifth Monday” programs are resuming. On Sept. 30, Jim Hoy will present the program “Kansas Legends and Folktales” at 7 p.m. in the Greenwood County Museum. Hoy’s discussion will include stories of the Flint Hills, as well as Greenwood County and beyond. The program is offered free to the public and made possible by Humanities Kansas.
