We live in a society where we believe we have all been named a certified critic. We share our opinions often and rarely think about the effect they may cause. We reach those opinions often times too quickly and aren’t willing to listen to others or ensure our facts are accurate. I personally believe that the rise of social media has lead to a society that needs immediate gratification. We overshare often and often take things out of context or misinterpret items that were published on social media. We often also serve as our most vocal critic. I find myself being harder on myself if I am tired and/or am surrounded by constant critiquing. These can be direct or indirect critiques.
