Members of the Eureka Junior Golf program concluded their 2023 season recently, as they competed at Burlington, Caney, Fredonia and Eureka during the month of June.
As the month of June concluded, so did the Eureka Recreation Commission summer ball seasons.
The seventh annual Forest Graves Junior/Senior Golf tournament was held on Saturday, June 24, at the Eureka Country Club.
Taylor Palmer, a 2023 Eureka High School graduate, was recently named to the 2023 Sports in Kansas 3A All-State Softball, for her efforts during her final season as a Lady Tornado.
Several area students were recently named to the South Central Border League All-League softball team. This included the following individuals: from West Elk: Shay Toon, Harlee Town and Makaila Gillespie; from Flinthills: Sydney Sorum, Paige Corter and Laura Scribner. Katy Beeman and Karly Kill of West Elk and Karynn Gleason of Flinthills were named honorable mention.
