Placed 4th At 2A State Basketball Tournament

The West Elk boys’ basketball team made their first ever appearance to the 2A State Basketball Tournament last week, where they captured a fourth place finish.
West Elk boys, seeded second, first battled Johnson- Stanton County (No 7, 16-6). The Patriots outscored the Trojans in three of the four quarters to claim the win, 56-46 and advance to the semi-finals. Scoring for the Patriots were: Cade Miller 16, William Silvey and Andrew Hurt each with 12, Joshua Johnson 8, Karsten Walker 6 and Devin Loudermilk 2.
