Greenwood County 4-H Hosted State Qualifying Archery Match
The Greenwood County 4-H Archery program recently hosted a state qualifying archery match. Over 30 shooters from all across the state came to participate in the match. Disciplines for the day included junior and senior Recurve, Bow Hunter, Open Bow Hunter, and 3D.
In the Recurve discipline, archers must score 80 out of 240 points to qualify for the state shoot. Results for Jr. Recurve: 1st- Kace Shrader (Wildcat District) 150/240 points, 2nd – Kale Shrader (Wildcat District) 145/240 points, 3rd- Jillian Davis (Sedgwick Co.) 118/240 points. In the Sr. Recurve contest: 1st – Kaitlin Phillips (Sedgwick) 107/240 points, 2nd- Kayana Goodall (Sedgwick Co.) 62/240 points, 3rd-Takota Goodall (Sedgwick Co.) 51/240 points.
In the BowHunter discipline, archers must score 160 out of 240 points to qualify for the state shoot. Results are as follows: Jr. BowHunter: 1st-Wylee Boulanger (Greenwood Co.) 230/240 Points, 2nd- Andrew Westerman (Greenwood Co.) 228/240 points, 3rd- Evan Snell (Sedgwick Co.) 219/240 points. Other state qualifying archers in the Jr. BowHunter discipline from Greenwood County include: Bren Hilton, Jayden Smith, Natalynn Gulick, and Tucker Gibb. Results for Sr. BowHunter: 1st – Wyatt Thayer (Meadowlark District) 229/240 points, 2nd- Kendall Beitz (Greenwood Co.) 224/240 points, 3rd- Kolby Beitz (Greenwood Co.) 221/240 points. Other state qualifying archers in the Sr. BowHunter discipline from Greenwood County included Zachary Hilton.
