Eight Elk County Wrestling (ECW) Cobras made the trip to Topeka over the weekend for the USAWKS 2024 State Folkstyle Championship and one ECW member claimed hardware.
Annual Community Easter Egg Hunts Planned For March 30
The Eureka Honors Club, in cooperation with various businesses and individuals, will be sponsoring the annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 30. The event will be held at McGinnis Field, at Eureka Junior Senior High School and is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
Laws To Serve As Eureka City Administrator
During the Feb. 26 meeting of the Eureka City Council, officials approved the employment of incoming City Administrator Joel Laws. Laws, who will begin serving as Eureka City Administrator Tuesday, March 12, is no stranger to municipal government or rural agricultural-centered towns.
To Compete At State Contest
Six Eureka Wrestling Club (EWC) members will represent Eureka at the State contest next weekend, in Topeka, as they placed in the top four in their weight classes at the District 2 qualifying tournament.
