K-9 Unit Received Donation

After learning a K-9 was fatally wounded in Wichita last year, a donor took it upon themselves to raise funds for all K-9 units across the state of Kansas to receive a bullet-proof vest as well as a heat alarm for their patrol vehicles.

The donation for each department tallied nearly $3,000 as each vest was just shy of $1,800 and the heat alarm pro averaged $1,200 each.
