Hamilton Home Destroyed In Early Morning Fire

A vacant home in Hamilton burnt down early Sunday morning at K-99 and Main Street.

According to County Fire Chief Doug Williams, Hamilton Fire Department, along with Greenwood County Fire: Madison, Central and Virgil Divisions, responded to the report of a structure fire on Sunday, May 3, at 12:54 a.m. Upon arrival, the home and outbuildings were fully engulfed and known to be vacant structures. Hamilton Fire Department disregarded the incoming fire crews. The structures were a total loss and some personal storage of the owner was also lost.
