Grandmother Arrested On Multiple Felony Warrants

A grandmother who was arrested last December for abandoning her non-verbal autistic grandson at the Beaumont rest area is back in custody.

Janie L. Gill, 68 at the time of her arrest in December, bonded out of Greenwood County Jail in April, but failed to appear during her May 10 pretrial conference. Since then, a bench warrant for her arrest was issued.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Gill was arrested on three felony warrants last Saturday, June 29, and is currently being housed in Dent County, Mo. She is being held on felony warrants for Greenwood County, Phelps County (Mo.) and Rogers County (Mo.)
