Eureka Woman Helped Decorate White House
One Eureka woman received the chance of a lifetime last week, when she traveled to Washington D.C. to help decorate the White House for the 2018 holiday season.
After submitting her online volunteer application back in August of this year, Carma Wilson received notification in September that she was one of about 100 volunteers selected from thousands of applications submitted from across the nation, to help decorate this year. The individuals selected to decorate had a wide range of backgrounds, including some professional decorators as well as various other professions. While Wilson admits she’s not a professional decorator, she has toured the White House at Christmas time and has been fascinated ever since that trip in 2012.
