Deputy Ratcliff Graduated From Academy

Greenwood County Sheriff’s Deputy Taylor Ratcliff graduated from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC) in Hutchinson, on Friday, March 30. She was one of 58 law enforcement officers from the 249th Basic Training Class. She was hired by the Greenwood County Sheriff's Office last November.

Sheriff Heath Samuels, Undersheriff Randy Cox, Sergeant Mike Cordell and Deputy Buffy Kuhn attended the graduation ceremony, along with close family members. Executive Director of the Kansas Sheriffs' Association and retired Sheriff Sandy Horton was the special guest speaker.

The 14-week training class graduated while the KLETC celebrates 50 years of law enforcement training, with the first graduating class in 1968. Candidates received special 50-year commemorative challenge coins during the ceremony.
