“Pulling For Linda” Fundraisers Planned

Almost one year ago, Linda Hackler of Eureka, received the life-changing news that she was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a form of cancer that occurs when the blood-forming cells in the bone marrow are damaged.
Hackler moved to Eureka in 2002 and managed the Dollar General store for 16 years. After moving back to her home state of Minnesota in late 2015, Hackler returned to Eureka after being diagnosed with MDS and continued working for Dollar General. Earlier this year she was in the hospital for two weeks and took a leave of absence from work but was told by her doctor that her immune system was too low to return to work.
