Pat Corle

Patricia Jane “Pat” Corle, 82, of Howard, died on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Greenwood County Hospital, in Eureka.

She was born on December 22, 1940, at the Claremore Indian Hospital, in Claremore, Okla., the daughter of Joseph P. and Lucille V. (Ensley) Boulanger.

She was united in marriage to Joseph R. Corle at the Longton United Methodist Church on July 4, 1958. To this union two daughters were born.

After they were married, the couple moved to Idaho and worked in the potato fields for a few years before they moved back to live in Moline.

She had been baptized and was a member of the Elk Falls United Methodist Church in Elk Falls and was part of the White Hair Band.

She worked at Fred’s IGA in Moline, at the Howard Current Citizen newspaper as a typesetter, and as a dispatcher for the Elk County Sheriff’s Office. She stayed busy in her spare time working as the site manager for Friendship Meals in Moline.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Corle of Howard; and Susan Livingston of Emporia; three grandchildren; and one brother, Phillip Boulanger of Brunswick, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three siblings: Wayne Boulanger, Evelyn Laurie and Edward Boulanger.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 26, at the Elk Falls United Methodist Church, in Elk Falls, with Pastor Dena Allison officiating. Cremation has been effected. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Moline Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Elk Falls United Methodist Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, PO Box 595, Eureka KS 67045, which is overseeing arrangements. Condolences may be left for the family online, at koupfunerals.com.
