Earl “Lynn” Broyles of Eureka, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, in Wichita, at the age of 72. He was born on November 26, 1950, in Phillipsburg, Kan., the son of Gerald Earl and Lola Marie (Rosenberg) Broyles. The family lived in various places throughout Kansas and Colorado before settling in Eureka. He graduated from Eureka High School with the Class of 1968. He did construction work, truck driving and oilfield work.

On November 19, 1975, Lynn was united in marriage to Bonita Kay Lingo in Eureka. They made their home in Oklahoma where Lynn worked in construction. To this union, three children were born. In 1992, they returned to Eureka where Lynn opened Eureka Diesel doing mechanic work. He also later did road construction and truck driving before finally retiring in December 2022.

He is survived by his wife, Bonita of the home; three children, Brad and wife, Joy Broyles of Eureka; Bryan Broyles of El Dorado; and Dustin Broyles of Kansas City, Kan.; one granddaughter, Hailey Broyles; and one sister, Shirley Miles of Wichita. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild, Hagen Broyles.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation has been effected. Koup Family Funeral Home is overseeing arrangements. Condolences may be left for the family online, at koupfunerals.com.
