LLOYD DEWAYNE LEITZEL

Leitzel, Lloyd DeWayne, 62, passed away on November 6, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Lloyd was born on July 29, 1959 in Wichita to David and Eula Faye (Walker) Leitzel and grew up in the Haysville and Wellington areas. He attended and graduated from Campus High and then moved to Eureka where he has lived for the last 30 years. Lloyd loved spending time outdoors whether it was fishing, bow hunting, shed hunting or riding 4 wheelers. The Eureka Archery Club was a big part of Lloyd’s life and he was always jumping to go help out or do something to make the club better for everyone. His greatest passion was his family and spending time with them; especially his nieces and nephews; and he loved the Holiday season because all of the family got together and celebrated together. Lloyd was a simple, loving, selfless person that would help anyone with anything and would give anything he had to somebody that needed it. Everyone that met Lloyd loved him and he always made friends with everybody; he will be very missed by all who knew him.

Lloyd is survived by his mother Eula F. Leitzel; brothers Rick Leitzel, David Leitzel; sister Patricia (DeeDee) Ray and husband Frank; nephews Ricky Leitzel, Josh Leitzel, Brandon Ray (Julia Funk), Cody Ray (Leah Carr), Christopher (Tipper) Ray and wife Bailee Ray; great nephews Brody Leitzel, Westyn Ray, Cooper Ray; great nieces Adleigh Ray, Aleigha Leitzel; many other family and friends. Lloyd was preceded in death by his father David E. Leitzel; paternal grandparents Raymond and Nettie Leitzel; maternal grandparents Lloyd and Mary Walker; and his fiancé Frances Powell.

Services were held at Pixly Ranch on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at noon.
