Linda Kay Hall

Linda Kay Hall, 79, of Benton, Kansas passed away peacefully on March 17, 2023 at St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita surrounded by her family. Linda was born on March 7, 1944 the daughter of Ora Paul Smith and Gertrude Virgina (Kille) Smith in Brookfield, Mo.

Linda spent her early years in Dawn, Mo. and graduated from Southwest High School in 1962. Linda married Don Hall on June 27, 1970. Don and Linda were well-known in the Howard area as the owners of Teletronics Cable TV from 1976 until 1986.

Linda was a loving and dedicated wife and mother. Her hobbies included cooking, shopping with her granddaughters, and visiting with friends and family. Her generosity and hospitality were felt by friends and strangers alike. She was known as “Nanny” to fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her husband, Don Hall of Benton, Kansas. Her children Stefanie Lill and her husband Mike Lill of Augusta, Kansas; Mark Hall and his wife Regina Hall of Tirana, Albania; Kim Lanning of Eudora, KS; Mike Hall and his wife Norma Hall of Elk Falls, KS; Stacie Phillips and her husband Jerry Phillips of Westminster, Colo.

Linda is also survived by her grandchildren: Rebekah Lill, Emmalee Lill, Gregory Lill, Benjamin Lill, Jesse Hall, Seth Hall, Leah Hall, Anna Hall, Joseph Lanning, Maggie Bratcher, Nicole Kooken, Michaela Englebrecht, Riley Hall, Jadyn Madden, and Matthew Phillips.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Larry Paul Smith of Chillicothe, Mo.

Visitation was held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 24, at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, KS, with interment following at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Legion Auxiliary 149 Carter Rader, and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
