Jason Brian “Wolverine” Bough

Jason Brian Bough, 46, escaped this mortal realm on Thursday, March 9, 2023, in Cheyenne, Wyo. He was born December 3, 1976, in Wellington, the son of Tommy and Verna Bough. He leaves behind his favorite idiot, his wife of 26 years Wanda Soule Bough. Jason and Wanda were united in marriage on September 20, 1996, in Kingman. He also left behind his beloved girls, of the four legged dog variety, Elle Bough and Edith Bough.

Jason spent his career working in construction, since the age of 16. Jason’s work always required travel. So, home for Jason was wherever the road took him. Jason was blessed with quick wit, an amazing personality and a strong love of a good bullshit session. So, consequently he was never a stranger in town long and made friends everywhere he went.

Jason’s hobbies included talking and indulging all his wife’s crazy ideas as he was her favorite idiot, too. The adventures were many and there was never such a thing as too far or too weird. He also took spoiling his dogs very seriously.

We would be remiss to not mention that he was a perpetual mentor and lived to teach others. He was highly regarded in his industry, or if we are being completely honest (he himself would say honesty is the best policy) notorious because he could be a “bit” pushy and demanding.

But, all these qualities made him excel in his endeavors. He considered his great success was watching people learn new things and use that knowledge to take the next step up.

We will take comfort in knowing all the family he collected over the years will miss him greatly. We are also sure he is holding someone verbally hostage somewhere.

Jason was also survived by his mother Verna Bough; brothers, Kerry Gorby, Tommy Bough Jr., Ben Bough and Daniel Bough; sisters, Angela Bough and Andrea Wiebe; brother-in-laws Donald (Wynetta) Soule, Perry (Heather) Soule; sister-in-laws, Diana Sutton-Kelly and Peggy Soule; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Bough Sr. and brother, Jonathan Bough.

Jason’s “After Party” will be held on Saturday, March 25, at 3 p.m., at Phillips Cabin, at Eureka Lake.
