FLOYD EUGENE CRANE

Floyd Eugene Crane, 75, of Virgil, died on January 15, 2022, in Wichita.

He was born in Westphalia, to Ernest (Bill) and Blanche VanArsdale Crane, on July 25, 1946.

He was united in marriage to Leota Mae Megli on November 1, 1965, in El Dorado.

He served in the United States Army, First Calvary, from November 8, 1965 until November 8, 1968 when he was released with an honorable discharge. During his time in the Army he spent a year in Vietnam where he was a helicopter mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Leota Crane, of the home; four children, Belinda Martin, Larry Crane, Jerry Crane and Lucinda (Cindy) Stuber; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren with an eighth on the way; three brothers, Ronnie, Leonard and Lyle Crane; and three sisters, Edna Benson, Joann McKenzie and Dorinda Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Birdie Maxson.

A grave side service will be held at the Virgil Cemetery, in Virgil, on January 28, at 1 p.m. If inclement weather, the service will be held at the VanArsdale Funeral Home in Madison, Kansas.
