East Central Kansas Model T’s Celebrate 30th Anniversary

The East Central Kansas Model T’s will celebrate their 30th Anniversary on Saturday, April 13. They will meet at Kelly Hall on the Fairgrounds in Burlington, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the celebration, meeting and catered meal. The meal, catered by Big B’s BBQ, will include a main entre’, vegetables, dessert and drinks. There will be no need to bring a side dish. Attendees are encouraged to wear period clothing. Depending on the weather that day, drive your model T as there may be an impromptu short tour/drive around town. Additional activities led by members are to be announced.

The sun was enormous on Monday morning, as I typed this column. Itlooked like the start of a beautiful day. Wasn’t the weekend great? We got rain on Saturday and Sunday was an almost perfect day. A little less wind would’ve been better, but hey this is Kansas!

Pages within the March 13 edition of The Eureka Herald contained 123 hidden Easter Eggs. Those winning the annual prize contest for their age group were: Ages 4-6: Tyrel Wells, 121, first place and Colin Schlotterbeck, 114, second place. Ages 7-9: Tyler Wells, 121, first place and Katelyn Nutsch, 121, second place. Ages 10-12: Tyler Nutsch, 121, first place and Molly Dehlinger, 115, second place.
