Rockin’ Robin!
As we conclude the final days of this year, I can’t help but to reflect on the past year. It seemed to have been filled with struggles for many and several are more than eager for 2023 to close and to begin a new chapter.

Greenwood County Extension Held Annual Meeting
– submitted by Ben Sims On Thursday, Dec. 14, the Greenwood County Annual Extension Meeting was held at the Greenwood Hotel. This meeting serves as a time for Greenwood County Extension Council members to come together and enjoy and evening of reflection, socializing, celebrating, and of course, good food. The food for the evening was provided by TNT Catering in Eureka. The evening began with a meeting of the 2023 Extension Council Board. The Board had the opportunity to conduct a brief amount of business before adjourning to enjoy a meal with the remaining Extension Council and guests. Guests included Jeff and Cheryl Sowder, Greg Davis, Greenwood County 4-H Ambassadors, and Extension Eastern Regional Director, Carla Nemecek. The Sowder and Davis families were there representing Sowder Seed Co. and RanchLand Feed, respectively. The two businesses were selected for the Greenwood County Extension Appreciation Award for their consistent willingness to provide sponsorship for Extension programming throughout the year. The programming our office provides would not be possible without the generous support from sponsors like them. After the presentation of the award, the 4-H Ambassadors, consisting of Lyle Perrier, Hannah Perrier, Brooke Gaines, Corinne Nelson and TJ Mills gave a presentation on how 4-H has impacted their lives and what their future plans are.
