CSC Hosts Annual Rising Sophomore Ceremony

CHADRON, Neb. Chadron State College (CSC) students and employees gathered for the ninth annual Rising Sophomore awards ceremony on Wednesday, April 17. Dr. Jim Powell, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Chadron State College, was the keynote speaker. He came to CSC in 2015 as the Dean for Assessment, Accreditation, Curriculum and Education, Human Performance, Counseling, Psychology, and Social Work. Powell, who became the Vice President for Academic Affairs in 2020, is retiring at the end of June. Grady Fox, of Severy, was among the list to receive an award, under the subject of history.
