West Elk Patriots Football Defeated Oxford

The West Elk Patriots claimed their first win of the season over Oxford last Friday.

A strong second half gave the Patriots the “W,” as they came from behind to defeat Oxford 44-36.

The Patriots scored touchdowns, and were successful on both twopoint conversions attempts in the first two stanzas but trailed at halftime 16-28. Rocky Hanks scored both of the touchdowns, the first, a 1-yard run and the second was a 25-yard pass from Jarrett Wilson. Tayden Tindle ran both of the two-point conversions.
