Set New School Record In 4x100
Eureka’s Lady Tornadoes 4x100 team just missed out on a state appearance, placing fifth at 3A Regionals in Cheney last Friday, but the team made history as they broke the school record, set by Alana Clay, Camryn Hoover, Mouer and Vinson in 2018 with a time of 51.81.
The girls finished the race with a time of 51.7.
Eureka’s Brooklyn Ptacek qualified for the state tournament in the 400 meter dash. The Tornado boys’ 4x100 team placed fourth to secure a spot at the state tournament. Kolby Beitz, Gabe Valentine, Justin Zimmers and Zach Hare will represent the Tornadoes. Valentine also qualified in the long jump, 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash.
