JH Tornadoes Defeated Fredonia
The Eureka Junior High Tornadoes improved their record to 4-0 with a 42-0 thumping of the Fredonia Yellowjackets, last Thursday, September 26. The game marked the last road game of the junior high football season, if everything works out on the new field at Eureka High School
As has been their pattern, Eureka opened early. After their first drive was stopped by a turnover, they promptly scored on their second drive, a 42 yard Wylee Boulanger run. Blake Rucker ran in the point-after making the score 8-0. Fredonia fumbled on their subsequent drive, which the Tornadoes turned into a 58 yard drive, culminating in a Rucker to Boulanger 15 yard touchdown pass. A successful conversion pass from Rucker to Carson Spoonts made the score 16-0.
Fredonia received the ball on their 35 yard line, but went backwards in the face of the Tornado defense. Spoonts tackled the Yellowjacket punter in the end zone for a safety. Eureka then received the kick and scored on a 35 yard pass from Rucker to Boulanger. A point after pass to Colby Altis made the score 26-0.
