FSCC Postponed Athletic Hall Of Fame Ceremony

FORT SCOTT - Fort Scott Community College (FSCC) postponed its athletic hall of fame ceremony, which was scheduled to take place last Friday, due to the coronavirus pandemic. FSCC plans to recognize this year’s honorees in the fall during the school’s football homecoming weekend, scheduled for September 18-20.

Taylyn (Schwartz) Barkley was among the list to be inducted into the FSCC Hall of Fame. Barkley graduated from Eureka Junior Senior High School in 2011 before traveling to Fort Scott, where she played for the Lady Greyhound volleyball team for two years. She returned to FSCC to serve as an assistant volleyball coach in 2017, a position she held for 2.5 years. She currently is a sales representative for Arbonne.
