Boys Placed 2nd In Eureka CC Invitational

Eureka’s Junior and Senior High School cross country teams, along with several other regional schools, participated in the Eureka Invitational on Tuesday, October 3, at the Eureka Country Club.

The varsity boys team claimed 2nd place, with Burlington taking 1st. Eureka’s Kendall Beitz placed 4th overall in the men’s 5K varsity race, with a time of 18:15.61. Ishonn Shockley crossed the finish line next for the Tornadoes, finishing in 8th place with a time of 18:31.86. Alex Shoemaker finished 19th in 19:17.14. Kolby Beitz finished in 20:15.30, Connor Booth-Hughes in 20:46.34, Quincy Steely in 20:55.78, Ethan Dennis in 21:55.82, and Colten Caylor in 22:28.31.

In the varsity girls 5K, Eureka’s Megan Smith finished in 26:08.12 and AaLeiOnna Cox in 28:00.03.
