What’s Popping at Pasta and Pasture?

“What’s popping at Pasta and Pasture?” asked Tommy Case, chef for the new restaurant in an old familiar building. The new business is going to be where Courtney’s Places used to be.

Case got his first job at Sonic at age 14, and he has been cooking since he was 16. His second job was working at K-Bob’s in Ark City. Case has owned several of his own businesses including Tommy Lee’s Country Cooking in Belle Plaine from 2009-11. In Wellington, he owned Cases Country Café and The Charbroil House.

If the names of past restaurants are any indication, it’s obvious he enjoys comfort style cooking. Case is a pleasant man to visit with and full of stories. If you have the time and he has the time, sit and visit with him for a bit, and listen to his tales.
