An article, The Powerful Potency of lant Food, from K-State Research and Extension, reports that researchers from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign have discovered that plant foods rich in anthocyanins may prevent or reduce colorectal cancer cell growth. Anthocyanins are found in plant foods that include purple, red, and blue hues. Plant foods such as lentils, sorghum, red and purple corn, grapes, and berries are among the most potent.
