LARRY EUGENE HIGBEE

LARRY EUGENE HIGBEE

Larry Eugene Higbee, 57, left this earthly world on March 12, 2022, to go to the golden fishing hole. He is now enjoying trying to out fish his dad with his son Christopher on his lap. Larry was born December 18, 1964, to Melvin and Carol in Eureka, Kansas. He was raised in Severy alongside his four siblings. Younger years were spent learning to fish and hunt. In his teen years he discovered fast cars and women. Larry worked many jobs throughout his life including Ken’s Welding, bartending, Hogaboom, A-Lert, and ranching. He enjoyed ranching the most because he could be out in nature enjoying God’s beauty. Larry had many hobbies which include hunting, fishing, collecting antiques, gardening, and raising chickens. He also wrote poetry, however, he would say “men don’t write poetry, it’s words on paper.” Larry was known to his friends and family as a man with old fashioned morals. He was honest, loyal, hardworking, and would give you the shirt off his back. Larry is survived by his mother, Carol; brothers Gene and Kim; sisters, Deborah (Bobby) Coble, and Mila (Mike) Rindahl all of Severy; sons Vince and Bryson and daughter Samantha all of Eureka; 4 grandchildren, 7 nieces, 4 nephews and many extended family and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Melvin and infant son, Christopher. Memorial Service for Larry will be held at the Severy Community Building, 117 N. Kansas on April 2, at 2 p.m.
