Gladys F. Forcum

GLADYS F. FORCUM

HUTCHINSON - Gladys F. Forcum, 95, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community. She was born January 28, 1927, in rural Greenwood County, Kansas, the daughter of James and Mamie (Shobe) French. She married Dale Forcum on August 28, 1949. They later divorced. She had lived in Manhattan, KS for 18 years, serving as a fraternity housemother at Kansas State University. She spent summers working at the Rocky Mountain National Park tourist center in the Indian Jewelry store. She made many close friends during these years and enjoyed interacting with co-workers and tourists. She has lived in Hutchinson since approximately 2000 where she attended The Father’s House, serving in volunteer capacities and participating in bible study. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Christian Women’s Group.

Charles Lewis “Lew” Bitler of Eureka died on Friday, April 15, 2022, at Wesley Medical Center, in Wichita, at the age of 79.

Memorial Services

Memorial services for Delorice Irene (Davis) Honeyman will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, April 23, at Christian & Congregational Church, in Eureka with Pastor Stan Seymour of El Dorado officiating.
