Louise Weathers of Eureka, died on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, at the age of 96. She was born on February 9, 1926, in Eureka, the daughter of Charles William and Hilda (Whitehead) Rosenbaugh. She was born in her aunt and uncle’s home and returned home to a tent on Teter Hill, where her father was a tool dresser in the oilfield. The family soon moved to a farm where she spent most of her childhood, attending school at District 7. Her high school years she attended both Eureka and Hamilton High Schools. Her first job was as a waitress in several different restaurants, before she went to work at Beech Aircraft in Wichita during World War II as a riveter. Here she met her lifetime best friend.
