It 2x8=$104 is with deep and abiding grief that we announce the death of Carl Wayne Shewmaker, while in Bellingham, WA. His smile lit up so very many lives, in very many places, and his memory remains a source of comfort, strength, and joy.

BETTY LOU FULLER

Betty Lou Fuller, 75, of Sterling, passed away June 8, 2020 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita, Kansas. She was born October 26, 1944 in Eureka, Kansas, the daughter of Charlie and Esther Gibson Cummings. Betty graduated from Toronto High School, Toronto, Kansas, with the class of 1963. She was a resident of Sterling for the past seven years, formerly of Lyons. Betty was owner and operator of Fuller Liquor of Lyons for 24 years. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary of Lyons. She enjoyed reading and gambling, and took great pride in her nails. On November 23, 1991, Betty was united in marriage with Kenneth LaVerne Fuller in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2013. She is also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debbie Knudsen; and sister, Donna Cummings. Betty is survived by her son, Perry Roberts and wife Sandy of Sterling; brother, Robert Cummings of Wichita, KS; sister, Trish Coon and husband Gary of Eureka, KS; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service was at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling, with Pastor Michael Gray officiating. Burial was at Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River, Kansas. Visitation was from 2 until 7 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2020 at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling with family present from 5 until 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to Celebration Centre for a memorial bench at the Davis Nature Trails in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
