Richard M. (Pete) Harber, 72, of Florence, KS, passed away July 28, 2018, at home surrounded by family and loved ones after a long battle with cancer. He was born in El Dorado, KS, on June 10, 1946, to Richard J. (Pete) and Norma Harber. A 1964 graduate of Tonovay High School, Pete spent most of his life as an over the road truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jolyn Harber, and son Todd Harber. He is survived by his seven children, Kevin (Stephanie) Renfro, James (Rita) Harber, Chris (Cathy) Harber, Thomas (Angie) Renfro, Brad (Kim) Harber, Shawn (Holly) Harber, and daughter Samantha Noonan; 30 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. On August 18, 2018, a memorial service, interment and celebration of life will be held in Neal, KS. Attendees will gather at the Neal Community Building at 10 a.m. then proceed to the Neal Cemetery at 11 a.m.
