Lee Maurer, 72, long time Fall River resident, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Wichita VA Hospice Unit under their wonderful care. He served with the United States Army in Vietnam under the 27th Engineer Battalion Combat unit specializing in demolition and was later honorably discharged. He enjoyed fishing for crappie, mostly in the Fall River area, and gardening. Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Pam Maurer, his daughter Frances Lasiter, grandson Caleb Lasiter, both of Broken Arrow, OK, son Lee (Brandy) Maurer Jr and children of Erie, KS, nephew Carey Maurer of Wichita, niece Christi Hoehn of Westlake Village, CA, cousin John “Denny” Hunt of Hartford, AR and his two “favorite” sisters-in-law; Debbie (Vince) Duncan of Wichita and Terry (Michael) Palmer of Fall River.
