Larry Ray Vanderpool

Larry Ray Vanderpool, 73, Joplin, Mo., died Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Freeman West Hospital.

He was born November 25, 1945 in Weir, the son of George Vanderpool, Sr. and Betty Burns Vanderpool.

He worked as a meat inspector for the U.S.D.A. from 1966 until he retired in 2005.

He was a member of Pittsburg Lodge #187, AF & AM and the Weir Southern Baptist Church.

He was united in marriage to Martha Felipe on July 14, 2014 in Miami, Okla.

He is survived by his wife of the home, children, Kathi Vanderpool, of Arizona, Karen Barraza of Eureka, Paola Uriarte of Mexico, Juan Francisco Uriarte, Mexico, Juan Omar Uriarte, Mexico; one brother, Terry Vanderpool of Frontenac, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Rayma Humble Vanderpool; brother, George Vanderpool, Jr., and a sister, Shirley Mangile.

Services were planned for Tuesday, March 12, at Parker Mortuary, with Padre Paco Gordillo officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
