Trash Service Rates Discussed By Council
After years of trying to keep a flat rate for Severy City residents for the trash service, the Severy City Council is looking at increasing rates for services provided; as well as charging a different rate for commercial use. During their monthly meeting, which was held on Monday of last week, the council noted Waste Connections recently increased the rate by more than $100 per month for the city. “The thing is we are losing money,” stated Mayor Tom Eubank. “We can’t keep doing that, we just don’t have it.” Council plans to evaluate the rates and possibly increase rates in January.
