Three Adults Detained After Threat Made To EJSHS Student

Eureka USD 389 and the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office were quick to act last Friday, October 9, after a threat was made towards students at Eureka Junior Senior High School (EJSHS).

After deputies arrived at the school and conducted a preliminary investigation, it took approximately 15 minutes for law enforcement to locate three adults, after they were notified of the threat. The three were taken to the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office where they were questioned.

Both EJSHS and Marshall Elementary School were placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure.
