Teter Rock Vandalized . . . Again

A Greenwood County landmark was subject to graffiti yet again.

Family members learned that Teter Rock, a Kansas landmark near Cassoday, had been vandalized with spray paint.

With the help of the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office, the individuals responsible were found.

“The land owner made the decision to allow the individuals to clean up the site rather than seek legal action against them,” commented the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office via their Facebook post. “Cleanup took approximately 8.5 hours. The cleanup process exposed new rock face which will weather over time to restore the landmark to its original appearance.”

Teter Rock is located on privately owned property, however, the owner has allowed public access to allow others to enjoy the beauty of such a unique and special place.
