Kathleen McKenzie Accepted To Johns Hopkins EM Residency Program
Growing up, Kathleen McKenzie knew she wanted to pursue a career in the medical field, but what title she would hold was uncertain. “I went back and forth between going to medical school or physician assistant (PA) school,” commented Kathleen. “My mom (Nancy McKenzie, a PA-C at Greenwood County Hospital, in Eureka) has been extremely happy with what she does. She was a big reason I chose the option I did,” stated Kathleen.
Kathleen graduated from Eureka Junior Senior High School in 2010, earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Spanish from the University of Kansas in 2014, earned her Master’s in Medical Bio-Science from Kansas City University in 2016 and after serving as a CNA at West Family Physicians in Wichita for a few years, she completed her studies this past May when she graduated with honors from Oklahoma City University with her Physician Assistant degree.
