KAKE News Weather Radio Event Coming To Eureka

KAKE News Chief Meteorologist Jay Prater will be in Eureka on April 16, from 4-6:30 p.m. at Orscheln’s Farm and Home to assist residents in programming weather radios for the storm season.

Weather radios will be available for purchase, or residents can bring their radio to the event to be programmed with the correct frequency. The weather radio runs on batteries and can be programmed to sound an alert for a specific area and specific weather information.
