Greenwood County Now Seeing Closures Due To Coronavirus (COVID-19)
As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread, county officials are looking for ways to stop the curve, and limit the spread of the disease.
During a special commission meeting last Sunday evening, Greenwood County Commissioners met with the Health Department, Greenwood County Hospital representatives, Greenwood County Emergency Management, and representatives from county schools and cities to discuss the potential measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The meeting began with Governor Laura Kelly addressing the state. A little after 6 p.m. Sunday evening, Governor Kelly recommended that all K-12 schools in Kansas close for the upcoming week.
