EHS Winter Royalty To Be Crowned This Friday
This Friday evening, the 2019 Eureka Junior Senior High School Winter Royalty will be crowned during the halftime of the boys’ basketball game against the Fredonia Yellowjackets. Students in grades nine through twelve recently selected the following senior students as the 2019 Winter Royalty Court, for Queen: Madison Noll, Kylie Vinson, Elizabeth Inmann-Hall, Abigail Noble and Tara Witham; for King: Timothy Randle, Jaron Ross, Tanner Wells, Ethan Coon and Jonathan Turner.
Spirit week started on Tuesday of this week with students at EJSHS participating in “PJ Day.” On Wednesday, students are to dress for “Destination Day” with specific destinations assigned per grade level. Thursday, January 24 will have students dressing like their parents did during their high school days for “Throwback Thursday.” To conclude the week, students are encouraged to participate in “White-Out” day. Tornado fans are also encouraged to help “White-Out” the stands during the basketball game.
Students in grades ninetwelve will decorate a grocery cart that will be voted on by patrons of the Eureka vs. Fredonia basketball game. To vote, patrons will donate money to the grocery cart they feel is best decorated. Funds raised by the contest will be donated to Tisha Gravatt and her family. She was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma, a general organ cancer.
