To Compete At Nationals
For the second consecutive year, Destyni Myers, a senior at West Elk High School, will compete at the National Assembly of God Fine Arts competition.
Myers received two “superior with invitations”during the 2019 Kansas Fine Arts Competition, which is affiliated with the Assembly of God Church, on Saturday, April 6. She performed two solos, “Amen” by Charity Gayle and “Con te Partiro” by Lucio Quarantotto. Myers also received merit for her classical solo.
By earning the certificates, Myers could earn college scholarships through an Assembly of God University. Although, she hasn’t selected a college as of yet, Myers would like to pursue a degree in psychology, and serve as an addictions counselor.
