• Architects Shared Above Option With District Patrons

Board To Consider Community Input Regarding Possible Project

Just thirteen community members attended the second and final community input meeting last Saturday, where they heard from architects, the general contractor and Eureka USD 389 boardmembers.

Rod Sondergard, Phillip Jordan and Geoff Snow, with Alloy Architecture, shared the initial district goals for replacing the facility, shared another design that included a smaller layout (pictured above), as well as pricing, and specific codes.

Jordan also noted that the district is pursuing a FEMA grant that could assist in making the locker room addition a storm shelter. The grant could cover up to 75% of the costs of the 3,000 square foot storm shelter portion of the building addition, which would also serve as locker rooms.
