Attempted To Smuggle Drugs Through Kansas

Four people were arrested following a standard traffic stop last Friday, on 400 highway when deputies learned they were transporting drugs and paraphernalia from Colorado to Arkansas.

Deputies were conducting a special enforcement for speed throughout Greenwood County last weekend and stopped Jacob Yeakley for speeding. He and his three passengers were arrested on numerous charges, that all stemmed from smuggling drugs through Greenwood County. During this stop, the Sheriff’s Office recovered 10 pounds of marijuana, all labeled. Although the purchase was legal in Colorado, it is not legal in Kansas or Arkansas.
