90th Annual Celebration This Saturday

For 90 years, the Greenwood County Cattlemen’s Association have gathered for a day of events to celebrate the cattle industry. This Saturday is the 90th annual Greenwood County Cattlemen’s Day with events beginning at sunrise and closing late that evening.

Since its inception, a total of 85 proud cattlemen have served as president of the organization. This year is no different, as Louis Mann Jr., a third generation shorthorn cattle rancher is serving as this year’s President.

At a young age, Mann became interested in cattle as his grandfather raised shorthorn cattle. Through the years, Mann has been able to acquire a small herd of registered shorthorns. He continues to raise and sell shorthorn cattle in 17 states and Mexico to mainly commercial breeders for cross breeding and to pure breed breeders.
